A Second Start in Sydney??

We need to know if you would take part!

The RHSP race committee met last night in Halifax and chair Scott MacLeod is proposing something new - but he's hoping skippers will let him know if you might take part...we are looking for expressions of interest... here is his note:

RHSP is considering a separate, secondary start from Sydney to race to St. Pierre. There will be 3 classes offered in this race; PHRF Racing, PHRF Cruising and a “Rally Class”. For those not familiar with “Rally Class”, it is a division where engines are permitted to be used during night times in the race. It is designed for those who wish to participate in the race but want to get there quickly and enjoy the festivities of St. Pierre et Miquelon. Rally class participants will be scored under a special formula to take into account the amount of time mechanical propulsion was used.

Interested skippers are encouraged to write an email to: info@routehalifaxsaintpierre.com to help us determine the level of interest for any of these 3 classes.
